August 15 - The Atlanta Braves activated All-Star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. from the 10-day injured list on Friday. He landed on the IL with a right calf strain on July 30, the day after exiting early in a 9-6 loss at Kansas City.

CLEVELAND -- Atlanta star Ronald Acuna Jr. was activated Friday night before the Braves' series opener against the Cleveland Guardians. The 2023 NL MVP had been on the 10-day injured list since July 30 because of a strained right calf, missing 15 games. He was in the starting lineup in right field and batted third against left-hander Joey Cantillo.

Catcher Sandy León was outrighted to Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move. Acuña will return to face the Cleveland Guardians, as the Braves are set to start a three-game series against Cleveland on Friday. The five-time All-Star hasn't played since July 29 due to a calf strain.
