The Apple Watch Series 10 received its first redesign since Series 7 in 2021, marking a significant update to the flagship smartwatch. Apple resisted the temptation to commemorate the Apple Watch’s 10-year anniversary with an “Apple Watch X” moniker but tweaked the design to be larger and thinner.

Apple needed to get a move on, however, as Samsung already has FDA approval for a similar feature on the Galaxy Watch. Sleep apnea tracking will reportedly come to 150 countries later this month, alongside the debut of the Series 10 itself.

At its Glowtime event on Monday, Apple announced that it’s adding a new Apple Watch feature that can alert users to sleep apnea, a health condition that causes you to stop breathing when you’re asleep. Apple says it expects to receive FDA clearance for the feature “very soon.”
