Anthony Richardson Sr. has been benched for the second time in two years by the franchise that drafted him at No. 4, putting his future in question.

The Indianapolis Colts made a rather surprising decision at quarterback on Tuesday, opting to roll with Daniel Jones over Anthony Richardson as their starter.

Indianapolis coach Shane Steichen announced that Jones would start the Sept. 7 season opener against the Dolphins, beating out Anthony Richardson, who just two years ago was dubbed the franchise’s quarterback of the future.
